Terms of Service
Plain-language terms for dioceses using Clergy Connect. Effective October 4, 2026.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between Clergy Connect (“we”, “us”) and the diocese or organization that subscribes (“your diocese”), agreed to by the person who signs up on its behalf. By using Clergy Connect, your diocese agrees to them. Priests, deacons and staff who use the service through a diocese's account are covered by that diocese's agreement and by our Privacy & Data Handling page.
2. The service
Clergy Connect is an online tool for coordinating Mass, confession and other coverage across a diocese: recurring schedules, sub requests and approvals, matching nearby clergy, Quick Links, email and push notifications, a shared calendar, reports, and related features. We may improve, change or retire individual features over time. If we remove something your diocese relies on, we'll tell your diocese's administrators ahead of time where we reasonably can.
3. Free trial
A new diocese gets a 30-day free trial, starting once its parishes and clergy are set up. No payment details are needed for the trial, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends: if your diocese wants to continue, we send a secure link to add payment at the plan that fits.
4. Subscription and price
After the trial, Clergy Connect is billed monthly in advance at the plan for your diocese's number of user accounts, as shown on the Pricing page (larger dioceses are priced individually). There are no setup fees or contracts. Your diocese's price stays the same for as long as its subscription continues without interruption, unless it moves to a different plan.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card or bank details. The subscription renews automatically each month until it's cancelled. Prices do not include any taxes that may apply.
5. Cancelling
A diocesan administrator can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage Billing, or by emailing support@clergy-connect.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month, and your diocese keeps full access until then. We don't give refunds for partial months, but if something has gone wrong, write to us and we'll do what's fair.
6. Missed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it automatically over the following days, and your diocese's administrators are emailed so they can update the payment method. A failed payment doesn't switch anything off straight away. If payment still can't be collected, the subscription ends, and we may then suspend access until it's resolved.
7. Your diocese's data
Your diocese owns the information it puts into Clergy Connect: its parishes, clergy, schedules, requests and settings. We use it only to provide the service to your diocese, as described on our Privacy & Data Handling page. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising.
Administrators can export reports at any time. After a subscription ends, we may delete your diocese's data. Before cancelling, or at any time, a diocese can ask us to export or delete its data by emailing support.
8. Your responsibilities
Your diocese agrees to:
- add only people who serve in or for the diocese, and keep their details reasonably accurate;
- keep passwords and Quick Links private, and tell us promptly if you think one has been misused;
- use Clergy Connect only for coordinating ministry coverage, not to send unrelated, commercial or unlawful messages;
- not try to access another diocese's data, disrupt the service, or get around its security.
We may suspend an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules, after contacting its administrators where we reasonably can.
9. Availability
We work hard to keep Clergy Connect running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable or that every email will arrive. Clergy Connect helps a diocese find coverage; the diocese remains responsible for making sure every Mass is covered. Please keep a simple backup plan (such as a phone list) for the rare time the site or email is down.
10. Limits of our responsibility
Clergy Connect is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount your diocese paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits anything that can't legally be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email your diocese's administrators at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Clergy Connect after that means your diocese accepts the updated terms; if it doesn't, it can cancel.
12. Questions
Email support@clergy-connect.com. A real person reads every message.
